With red lips all over the catwalk this season, it goes without saying that your face should exhibit the trend this Spring too.
Now that you’re fully informed of how to achieve the perfect pout, Paint The Town Scarlet gives you the low-down on one of two products with which to create the colour: Bourjois Ready to Wear So Rouge lipstick and Bourjois Eau de Gloss.
Bourjois So Rouge lipstick has become one of my favourite products to replicate the English Rose look. So Rouge looks darker than when it is applied; I find you need a few coats to attain a real red pout. It glides on smoothly and softly, with a really moisturising texture, that makes you want to smack your lips together!
It offers a matte finish that isn’t garish but exudes old-school glamour. If you prefer a layer of gloss on top, why not add a slick of Bourjois’s Eau De Gloss in Framboise Glacee? It serves to accentuate the colour to the max!
On a longevity scale of 1 to 10, I would give this lipstick a 7. It can easily wear off when sipping on drinks, but usually stays put if left alone. The gloss however, like most glosses, doesn’t boast great staying-power. You’ll find yourself re-applying several times throughout the night (and I eventually gave up).
Yet, the combination of the two Bourjois offerings do make for a great pout; I would definitely recommend!
Alternatively, if you prefer a pink pout (guaranteed to be bang on-trend for Summer 2011) then you can achieve the look with one of my all-time faves and key make-up bag occupant – MAC’s Satin Lipstick in Pink Nouveau, with a sweep of Clinique’s Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in Grapefruit.

Nice post,
Will definitely check it out
